The service
Secret Santa Ideas is a free tool for drawing names for a gift exchange and for finding gift ideas. It is operated by Module 37. By using the site you agree to these terms.
Using the service fairly
- Create groups only for real gift exchanges, and add only people who have agreed to take part.
- If you enter someone's email address, you confirm that you are allowed to share it with us for sending them their link.
- Do not use the service to send advertising or unwanted messages, to harass anyone, or for anything unlawful.
- Do not try to guess other people's links, overload the service or interfere with how it works.
We may remove a group, or block access, where these rules are broken.
Private links
There are no accounts. The organizer's link and each participant's link work like keys: anyone who has a link can open the page behind it. Keep your links to yourself. We cannot recover a lost organizer link. If you entered your email address when creating the group, the link is in the email we sent you.
The draw
The draw is made by our server at random, within the exclusions the organizer set. Once any participant has opened their link, the draw can no longer be changed.
Gift ideas and shops
Gift ideas are suggestions. The products are sold by independent shops, not by us; prices, availability, delivery and returns are the shop's responsibility. Some links are affiliate links, as explained in our affiliate disclosure.
Availability and liability
The service is provided free of charge and as it is. We work to keep it available and correct, but we do not guarantee that it will always be online or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from its use, such as a gift that arrives late or an exchange that did not go as planned. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law.
Deleting data
Groups are deleted automatically 30 days after the event date, and the organizer can delete a group earlier. Details are in our privacy policy.
